Antiquing Fluid Bronze 500ml - T92087A

Antiquing fluid is a cold patination treatment which will colour new or bright brass, copper or bronze to give an antique look. Ideal for use in antique restoration, matching new fittings to old for example.

Remove any metal lacquer using paint stripper first. Thoroughly remove and clean any grease or oil, including fingerprints with cold patination treatment (Our Reference T92084A) and wipe dry. Apply the fluid directly on to the item using either cotton wool or a brush, when desired colour is achieved, immediately rinse with clean water and pat dry with paper towel. Alternatively, dilute with 10 parts water and immerse items together to ensure a uniform colour change. Contact time should be no more than 2 minutes. After treating with antiquing fluid apply (Our Reference T92090) Protective Oil (alternative to Jade Oil) to remove any remaining moisture and to fix the colour or alternatively a lacquered or wax finish.
